JOB DESCRIPTION - Role and Responsibilities
Define, scope, initiate and manage large complex and business critical areas of
project work while supporting business and programme management staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define, document, and execute large-scale (>6 months * >10 FTE staff)
projects, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identify, assess
and manage risks to the success of the project.
2. Agree terms of reference to enable costs, timescales and resource
requirements for the successful completion of each project to be estimated.
3. Ensure project deliverables are demonstrably fit for purpose.
4. Gain commitments to ensure corrective actions are taken if costs, timescales
or resources deviate from agreed tolerances.
5. Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the
project from project stakeholders and ensure full impact of significant changes
are understood by project stakeholders.
6. Ensure all parties are aware of project scope and milestones. Highlight
divergence from that scope, and adjust it where necessary to reflect changing
circumstances.
7. Co-ordinate with project managers from relevant technology vendors
JOB SPECIFICATIONS- Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor degree with more than 5 years of relevant experience. Specific
experience to include:
Management of technology vendor relationships
Management of development processes for online, mobile or interactive
television products
Professional services experience
Consumer product experience
